About Us

VC Reid Smith Livestock was previously known as V.C Reid & Son which was established in 1955 by Vivian Reid and his son Wayne. Vivian and Wayne serviced the regions for over 60 years and were well known and respected for their hard work and dedication to the livestock industry.

In 1983 Wayne introduced sons Scott and Murray to the business. Scott soon later became licensee in charge with Murray working alongside him to continue to grow the family business.

As of today, VC Reid Smith Livestock continues to operate as a family business with Scott, Murray and Julie as directors, accompanied by new partner Sam Smith. Sam joins the team with wealth of knowledge having worked in the livestock industry for the last 8 years.

VC Reid Smith Livestock operates at Central West Livestock Exchange for weekly cattle and sheep sales, as well as fortnightly pig sales and store sales. In addition, the team can market stock through Auctions Plus, Over the Hook sales, direct feedlot and paddock sales and clearing sales.
