Pig Sales

CWLE Pig Sale 15.11.2024

​A much larger yarding of sows saw firm prices on last sale. Boars improved 20c to 30c a kg, there was no bacon yarded today and pork numbers where similar to last fortnight. An extra buyer saw prices improve dramatically by $80 to $90 per head. Sucker numbers improved as did quality with prices lifting $60 to $70 per head.

CWLE Pig Sale 04.10.2024

A larger yarding of Sows saw prices drop 5c to 10c a kg. Boars made the standard 10c a kg. Bacon numbers lifted but prices fell by $10 to $20 per head. Pork numbers also lifted with pricing gaining $50 to $60 per head mainly on the quality lines. Sucker numbers and prices improved $10 to $20 per head, mainly on the lighter suckers.

CWLE Pig Sale 20.09.2024

​A smaller yarding of sows saw firm prices on last sale. Bacon again were in short supply with prices dearer by $10 to $20 mainly on the better quality pigs. Pork numbers were similar to last sale with quality a little plainer, prices dropped $20 to $30 per head. Suckers numbers increased but prices slipped $5 to $10 p head mainly on the heavier types.

CWLE Pig Sale 6.09.2024

Sow numbers improved this week but prices remained firm. Only one boar sold for 10c p/kg. Bacon were once again in short supply with prices also remaining firm on last sale. A larger yarding of pork saw prices $10 to $15 cheaper. Sucker numbers remained firm but prices again improved by $20 to $30 per head mainly on the lighter types.

CWLE Pig Sale 23.08.2024

Sow numbers decreased as did the price by 5c to 10c p/kg, only 1 boar yarded made 15c p/kg, bacon improved $10 to $20 mainly quality slipped related. Pork were again in short supply with prices increasing by $40 to $50 per head. Sucker numbers were similar to last fortnight a few more buyers saw prices improve $50 to $60 per head.

CWLE Pig Sale 9.08.2024

A much larger yarding of sows and boars today saw firm prices for boars, where as sows dropped 20c to 30c p/kg. Bacon were in short supply again with prices firm on the sale a month ago. Only a couple of pork were yarded with more competition priced improved $40 to $50 per head. Suckers also improved on all grades by up to $40 to $50 per head.

CWLE Pig Sale 26.07.2024

Sow numbers increased with only the heavier weights remaining firm, where light sows slipped 10c – 5c. No bacon was yarded today, pork was also scarce with the batter quality pigs remaining firm, suckers were also firm on last fortnight, with a similar quality yarding. Lighter suckers were in greater supply.

​A small yarding of sows saw prices drop 10c to 15c per kg. Boars remained firm, bacon numbers improved as did the prices by $20 to $30 mainly on the better quality pigs. Pork numbers also increased to be firm on last fortnight. Sucker numbers improved as well but remained firm on last sale mainly on the quality pigs.

CWLE Pig Sale 14.06.2024

​A smaller yarding of sows saw prices improve again by 5c to 10c. Boars lost 10c, bacon dropped $10 to $20 per head and heavy pork improved by $10 to $20 per head. Light weights remained firm on last sale. Suckers also remained firm on the better quality pigs.

CWLE Pig Sale 31.05.2024

A much larger yarding of boars and sows saw prices for sows improve 10c to 15c. Boars remained firm from 10c to 20c, bacon were in short supply with prices back by $5 to $10 per head. A larger yarding of pork saw prices improve $20 to $30 per head. Suckers held firm this sale with mainly lighter suckers penned.

CWLE Pig Sale 17.05.2024

A small yarding of boars and sows saw prices improve 10c to 20c for sows. Boars were firm, bacon improved by $10 to $20 per head, pork improved as well by $10 to $20 mainly on the heavier pigs and suckers were firm on the better quality pigs.
